Gowtham Cherukumalli is an experienced Traffic Engineer with nine years of experience in the industry. He served as a consultant for Georgia Department of Transportation(GDOT) Regional Traffic Operations Program (now SigOps), implementing effective techniques and using performance metrics tools to enhance traffic system efficiency. This experience allowed him to collaborate with engineers, technicians, contractors form local agencies as well as with personnel from GDOT.  Gowtham has successfully completed a wide range of projects, including signal timing, traffic studies, signal warrant analysis, and design work for local agencies in the Metro Atlanta area and throughout the state for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

During his tenure at Econolite, Gowtham designed and tested advanced traffic controller features, significantly contributing to the development of the Econolite controller Firmware EOS. He also served as a customer care liaison, supporting various local agencies across the country with programming traffic signal controllers. This experience provided him with a unique understanding of operations from the equipment manufacturer's and vendor's perspective.

 

Gowtham is a registered professional engineer (PE) in the state of Texas. He holds a B-Tech degree in Civil engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru technological University and an MS degree in Transportation Systems Engineering from Clemson University.
